About The Man:
My name is Rajesh Desai. I am a Mumbaikar by birth, heart and everything else. I m born and brought up in Parel and I am a product of chawl culture. Currently I riside at Dombivli looking to shift back to my roots once the redevelopment of my belowed chawl is over.
I was never into biking as such until I bought my first ride TVS Apache 150 to solve the problem of daily commute from Parel to Andheri (W). Very soon I got hooked to riding. The daily commute began to seem very short. Was thinking of going for a long ride on highway but was afraid to do it alone since I had no previous experience. Came in contact with a group called Bombay Bikers and did my first ride to Kelwa Beach and then many more after that. My dream is to roam around entire India on two wheeler during my life time.
About The Mammoth:
The Royal Enfield UCE Electra 350 is the proper technical name of the mammoth. Bought it on 16th March 2010 after an agonizing wait of over three months. Actually I had booked newly launched Classic 350 in mid Dec 2009. The dealer had promised delivery within 45 days which was stretch to almost 3 months. Meanwhile RE launched UCE Electra in March and I shifted my booking since I was promised the delivery withing a weeks time. Finaly I got the delivery on the auspicious day of Gudi Padwa on 16th March 2010.
The Man and The Mammoth are going to be companions for the life time hereon.
